Set up with AI

Add KitchenPass to Claude or ChatGPT, then set up your kitchen and hand out jobs by describing them. You sign in with your KitchenPass account, and your assistant can only reach the businesses you belong to.

In Claude

  1. On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Choose +, then Add custom connector. Call it KitchenPass, paste the address above and choose Add.
  3. Choose Connect, then sign in with the account you use in the KitchenPass app and allow access.
  4. In a new chat, open +, then Connectors, check KitchenPass is on, and tell Claude about your kitchen.

Works on every Claude plan; the free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first under Organization settings, then Connectors.

In ChatGPT

  1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Go to Plugins and choose +. Call it KitchenPass, paste the address above and set authentication to OAuth.
  3. Create it, then sign in with the account you use in the KitchenPass app and allow access.
  4. In a new chat, turn on KitchenPass from Developer mode in the message box, and tell ChatGPT about your kitchen.

Needs ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, on the web. On a work plan, an admin may need to allow developer mode first. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each change it makes; looking things up needs no confirmation.

  • Hand a job to a named personWith the proof you want and an optional deadline. Owners and managers only.

What it won’t do

  • Record a temperature or tick a checklist. Staff do that on their phones.
  • Change or delete anything already in the log.
  • Reach a business you are not a member of.

Other assistants

Any assistant that can add a remote MCP server with sign-in, often called a custom connector, works the same way: give it the address above and sign in when it asks. In Claude Code, run this, then type /mcp to sign in:

What to say

Talk to it the way you would brief a new manager. Some examples:

  • Setting up

    We're Wise Guys Slices, a pizza trailer at Cheshire Oaks. Two fridges and a chest freezer. Priya, Sam and Tom work with me. Open 11 till 9. Make it blue.

  • Adding someone

    Add Jess to the team at the trailer. Her email is jess@example.co.uk.

  • Handing off a job

    Ask Tom to change the fryer oil by 4pm. Sign-off is enough, no photo.

  • Checking in

    What's been done at the trailer today? Was anything out of range?

  • A second business

    Set up Harbour Coffee on Quay Street as a separate business, in teal.
